Claris Official Partners
The process of Android deployment of FileMaker apps using LCFM Native is becoming increasingly complete, robust and mature. We’ve added support for the vast majority of the FileMaker feature set out of the box and are adding more features every day. We have been partnering and working closely with Claris to improve the product experience throughout much of this year. Claris have been a wonderful partner to work with, their input has allowed us to greatly improve the compile process.
As we near the end of 2020 this seems like a great time to bring you an update on our progress. It’s been a thrilling year of intense activity. We’ve been working hard on adding features, testing, fixing bugs and improving performance in LCFM Native. There have literally been thousands of features, bug fixes and enhancements since the start of the year. We’ve spent nearly 20 developer man years in total on this project and we think you’re going to like the results.
Our team are here in Dallas for FileMaker DevCon and we’re delighted to be able to announce that beta 1 of LCFM Native is now available to download. If you’re one of our original campaign backers, you should have received an email about this with download instructions. If you’re not a campaign backer, please go and get a compiler license here to get involved in our beta program.
We are hard at work developing LCFM Native here in Edinburgh. It’s an exciting and engaging process, requiring the very best of our talented development team. The core of our compiler architecture is complete, which means that we are racing through adding features. New capabilities are coming to the compiler literally every day. We’re now able to give you a broad road map of what to expect at each phase of the beta process. I’ll be able to update you with a new blog post every week now as we move through the beta stages.
We’re very excited to bring you an update on the progress we’ve made towards LiveCode for FM Native. We have an initial version of the tool which, although not quite ready yet, is getting very close to something we’re ready to release.
