We’re thrilled to announce the release of version 2.3 for LiveCode for FM. This update adds support for MirrorSync. JSON now behaves more faithfully to FileMaker, Open SSL has been updated to comply with Google Play store requirements along with some general bug fixes and enhancements. 

The latest iteration of LCFM Native is looking pretty slick. We’ve been loving testing with it, and we think you will too. This release brings you:

• Hugely faster compiling of your solutions into native apps. As a not insignificant bonus, this version of LCFM does not lock up your computer while it is extracting your solution.
• Compatibility reports: run your solution through the compiler and you will receive a complete report on anything that is not yet implemented by LCFM that you are using in your app, together with a rating of how likely it is to impact your apps functionality.
• Printing: You can now print reports from your LCFM app
• Native Fields: Beautiful look and feel on the target platform
• Relogin and other account script steps – you can now have a user login with specific access permissions, create and delete accounts.
• Perform Script on Server has now been actioned
• Install OnTimer Script also works
• iOS 13.5 support: we’ve updated our iOS compatibility to the latest Apple SDK
• Android 29 support: We’ve updated our Android compatibility to the latest Android SDK

We’re delighted to bring you LCFM Native Beta 4 today. This version is a huge step forward, doing away with the time consuming scrape step and adding a raft of big features like popover buttons, JSON functions and send mail. We’ve added compatibility for FileMaker 18 as well as FM17, and by using the new XML features in FM18 we are able to export your solution without locking up your machine.

We will not lie to you. This took a bit longer than we had hoped, and required some really deep and intricate coding from our highly talented team. But we have good – no, GREAT – news for you today.

Our team have been working round the clock – literally, as we have developers in the UK, Greece and Australia. 100 hour weeks have been put in. This last week we pulled out all the stops, but it simply was not humanly possible to finish it off before Santa comes down the chimney.

After a truly Herculean effort on the part of our team, we have to report that Beta 3, with a huge raft of shiny features, will not ship before Christmas. It’s close. We have completed 1394 tasks out of a total of 1602 to complete a beautifully rounded Beta 3.

Over the last few weeks our team has been hard at work. While the developers have been head down working like crazy on the tech, our marketing guys have been out and about, spreading the word about LCFM Native. We have attended FileMaker conferences in Liechtenstein, London, Ghent, Madrid and Tokyo, demoing our software and talking to customers and future customers.
